Weather - March weather varies greatly.  Please make sure your child(ren) is dressed for the weather. Days in which temps are supposed to raise may start out near freezing and students need a jacket, etc.  Please remind your child to wear their coats/jackets and not put them in bookbags.

Clothing – Thank you to all our families who have donated items for our students.  We have plenty of items now.  The one item we continually need is sweatpants.  Thanks again, for all your help!

Bullying – Tri-Point CUSD 6-J takes bullying seriously.  When talking to your child about bullying please make sure to tell your child to talk to an adult to inform the adult of what is taking place.  In an article on bullying the following advice for parents was provided:

Teach Them What Bullying Is and What It Isn’t

Children can be confused about bullying. When they have a better understanding of what bullying is, they can be better prepared to handle the situation.  Author Trudy Ludwig offers the following information for helping children understand bullying, through what she calls “tiers of behavior”:

  • When someone says or does something unintentionally hurtful and they do it once, that’s RUDE.
  • When someone says or does something intentionally hurtful and they do it once, that’s MEAN.
  • When someone says or does something intentionally hurtful and they keep doing it – even when you tell them to stop or show them that you’re upset – that’s BULLYING.
